Jamroom is a Website Management tool (a Media Content Management System) that was created to help artists get their music, videos and artwork online, so their friends and fans could easily listen to and view it. Jamroom comes with sign up and login for musicians so they can register upload music, Visitors can check their profiles and download their music. I need to create 2 new type of accounts: 1- Registered Users: we want to track information of what songs they download and save it in the database. they will have their own simple profile with information as name or nickname a picture and all the basic information such as: sex, age, and music preferences. 2- DJs: we want to track information of what songs they download and save it in the database as well, but also, they will have their own profile as well with all the same info as the "user profile" but they will have also have url (so they can enter their website) and for these users when they go to the Musician profile to download a song there should be a text box so they can notify the artist that they downloaded the song and when are the planning to play that song and a location. all this info should be safe in the database, and the message sent should be sent to the email registered in the musician address. The website of the Script is: http://www.jamroom.net/ and if you want an example of something similar to what we want, you can check music.podshow.com They use that website for something totally different but they have the notification system we need and also de differents types of users. You can register as a "podcaster" (whatever that is) and then check how the sistem works.
