This project is for homework help. The instructor is not concerned with whether or not we can code, he wants us to understand the concepts. It is for a mobile networking class and I do understand the concept I just don't have time to learn Java and code this. The solution must be something that has the ability to be executed on the instructor's computer in the Sun JRE 5.0 environment without any modifications. The specifications are as follows: I need a service proxy based on RMI that will simulate a PDA that is doing mobile directory services. It will take place on a JVM of course or should I say several JVMs. The idea is to have my PDA with me as I go driving towards the city and I want to be able to connect to directory servers along the way and get directions and then once in the city find a directory server that will allow me to print and/or fax. I know that the directions and printing and faxing will be simulated by an additional JVM. This is my understanding of how this will work according to what I have researched. The PDA (JVM) will: 1. Locate a lookup server 2. Register the JVM on the lookup server (which will be another JVM) and create a lease and renew the lease using the JINI framework. 3. Simulate a fax or printer service. 4. Unregister the JVM I will also need input into whether or not using JINI and RMI for this type of service is correct. From everything I have read it appears to be the case. Or you can chime in an give me another solution that would work just as efficiently on the JAVA platform. I am willing to pay $250.00 dollars to complete this project. I know that the development time on this project should be no more than 12 hours of development. Thanks The program needs to run on Windows XP service pack 2. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. The source code must be Java source, do not submit as a package or jar. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) The application must be able to be ran from the command prompt. Nothing fancy but installation instructions must be included. b) A detailed list of all the class files used in the project must be included. 3) All deliverables will be considered |
