Project Description: This project will be building a community oriented site similar to Myspace, Facebook, and Friendster. However, it will contain slightly different functions and will be more photo and list oriented. The site needs to allow for user registration with the ability for him/her to have an individual profile page which they can modify and connect with others. Access/Registration: We want the users to access the website via a username password field on the frontpage. If they do not have one, they can register one through a registration page with the following fields -¡¡¡¡Name, First -¡¡¡¡Name, Last -¡¡¡¡Birthdate -¡¡¡¡Gender -¡¡¡¡City -¡¡¡¡State -¡¡¡¡Country After entering the appropriate information, they can choose a username and password for themselves. This information should be possible to track and categorize. Profiles: The members would be able to create their profiles once they are registered with the site. The members would be able to upload 3-4 pictures to their profile frontpage. In addition, the members can load another 10 smaller pictures on the bottom of the profile frontpage with tags associated with the photos for search functionality. The profiles should be able to be seen by the public without logging onto the site. This page needs to be customizable as we will make more changes in the future. Message Board/Comments: Members are able to post comments on each person’s profile. Search Function: Members should be able to search for other members profiles primarily based on the tags they have for the photos on their profiles. Mailbox/Messaging: Members will be able to send one another messages to private inboxes that only the intended recipient(s) will be able to see. There should be a reply, reply all, delete, and save option upon reading the message. Graphics/Design: We can provide the appropriate logos and graphics for the UI and many of the pages. We need the bidder to work primarily on the functionality of the site. Admin: Please make an admin-friendly section for the administrator. The administrator site should able to view how many members are registered and allow him/her to delete profiles and/or their individual photos. Support: The chosen bidder should be accessible and able to lend support in the future and have an effective cost structure for future maintenance, improvement, and general work on the website. We would like to see the progress of this project from time and time to make sure all needs are met. We hope the programmer utilizes either AIM, Yahoo, MSN, or Skype for communication needs. The programmer must be dependable and prompt. *We would own the rights to the content added by members and the URL. |
