Project Description:
This site is a "consumer review" type site similar to epinions.com or tripadvisor.com. In this country, there are what we call, "travelling doctors and nurses," let us call them "TDN's". These TDN's generally are placed through a placement agency which is hired by a hospital. The hospital pays the placement agency their fee and then the placement agency pays the tdn a daily rate. The TDN then shows up at the hospital for the specified period of time (anywhere from 1 week to sometimes even a year.) The TDN is generally paid a daily rate for their work. What I want to create is a site where they can rate their experience with both the hospital and the placement agency. The TDN can have a rotten experience at the hospital, but a good experience with the placement agency. People would have to register and log in to the site to be able to post comments. Anybody would be able to view the reviews/comments. I have priced some hospital databases that come in Excel format. The site would need to be searchable and sortable by hospital, health plan, state, and zip code. I will proabably have about 5 ratings for the placement agency and 5 ratings for the hospital, with scores from 1-5 for each rating as well as a "comment" area. The site will need to be sortable from high to low and low to high ratings. There are about 7000 hospitals in the US and about 60 agencies. I probably won't list all the hospitals at first, as hospitals in small towns with limited internet access will be low yield. So, it will be about 2000 hospitals and 60 agencies which will be in the database. What type of format do you prefer for databases? This site will only have about 7-10 pages of content, a playable video on the homepage, a discussion forum, and banner ads. I will need a registration feature, but no payment. Revenue will only be from advertising. As administrator, I will need to be able moderate the forum, delete postings from people who are not actually doctors or nurses, and alter content on a few of the pages. There will be 3 provider types: MD, RN, and CRNA. An "all" function should be available too. There will be 5 ways to seach: Hospital name, state, zip code, placement agency, and city. Also, as an example, if a TDN wanted to see all the posts related to one placement agency, they should be able to click that agency and see all the posts from all 3 types of providers that have worked for that agency, and then, if they wish, click the type of provider, and see all the posts for that class of provider. One site that works quite well is tripadvisor.com. A person can search hotels by state or country. There are basically 3 types of providers who perform this travelling medical work: doctors (MD), nurses (RN) and nurse anesthetists (CRNA). Each type of person will be most interested in posts from people in their same line of work, but they will also be generally interested in what everybody who has worked at that site(hospital) or placement agency has to say about their experience. Say, an MD was thinking about working at hospital ABC with placement agency 123. That MD would be interested in all MD posts for ABC and 123 specifically, but if there were no MD reviews of hospital ABC, he would still be interested to see what a CRNA or RN had to say about hospital ABC. The same goes for the placement agency. I think the only users will be MD, RN, and CRNA. They will have to login to post reviews. Anybody will be able to view the reviews. If a hospital or placement agency wishes to have a rebuttal for a bad review, they will have to email me and there should be an ability for me to post a follow-up to a review. For example, an MD works for placement agency 123 and says they completely screwed up his travel arrangements. Agency 123 could email me about the review and state that they hired a new travel agency and have resolved the problem. I would follow-up on this and post the comment if it turns out to be valid. I think a discussion forum will be necessary for the site. There will need to be a couple other categories for reviews other than placement agencies and hospitals. There is a "Baggage Transportation" industry now. Given the headaches with air travel in the US, companies now exist that will pick up your luggage from your house and Fedex it to you destination. I am sure some do a better job than others. Rental car companies and hotels would be 2 other categories. These would be 3 other advertising sources as well. I have found a couple databases for sale. They are in Excel format. Can you give me an approximate bid on this project? |
