Project Description:
Event Scrapers I need 60 scrapers to parse out product information (to be outlined later) found in html tables, divs and other tag structures at unique pages on different websites (ie, 60 total scrapers). For each webpage, there will be an undefined number of products, for each of which we will need roughly 5 data points (title, price, etc). The scrapers must be written in Ruby to fit into a , Newly added descriptions: "scraper suite" framework that I have had developed which will be run periodically, using the most excellent Hpricot html scraper (http://code.whytheluckystiff.net/hpricot/) Once I receive a reasonable bid, I can send out a list of the URLs that need to be scraped (with more detail on what we need as well) and the framework code. Of course, each scraper will be checked to make sure it is pulling the correct data into the proper variables, etc. |
