We are a mortgage lender looking for an application to be written for our sales force. We have an ever-changing list of rate sheets and marketing flyers that we'd like our account execs (salespeople) to be able to send out from their BlackBerrys. We're using the enterprise/exchange server for our email. The user interface is very simple. I saw an application similar to the one we'd like to create. The interface looked like this: --------------------- Select Contact or Enter Email: Message Body: [ __ ] Attachment #1 [ __ ] Attachment #2 etc... Send Email ----------------------------- Select Contact is a button that would bring up a list of your current contacts in your address book and allow you to pick one and send the email to that person alternatively, you could type the email address you want to send the message to into the ENTER EMAIL: field. The MESSAGE BODY: field is the text you'd like to appear (optionally) in the body of the message. The List of Attachments is basically a list of documents that exist in a website directory, or another password protected site. This would ideally be a fluid list that the application could quickly access and change each time it was run. The idea here is that we are a mortgage lender and always creating documents with rates on them. These can change daily, or sooner. We'd like the application to be able to scan this list of documents, and make available only the ones in the directory. (say one from our website). That way, we could add/edit/delete files, and the app would scan the directory and only send a list of those files in the directory. They'd all be .PDF files and we could name them with underscores. ie. Gibraltar_Rate_Sheet.pdf, Gibraltar_Feb_Specials.pdf, etc... The list would be one document per line with the first part of the line being a checkbox, selectable by hitting the spacebar, and up to 50+ documents long. The user could scroll down the list of documents, hitting spacebar for each and every document they'd like to attach to the email being created/sent. The bottom of the list would be a button that would then send the email to the desired recipient. We'd like to be able to customize the Subject field, as well as insert a standard message, add the personalize message text, and close with a set signature. This signature would be unique to each user we have accessing the application from their personal BlackBerry. Being a lender, we have numerous sales people (account executives) in the field. These salespeople visit various mortgage brokerage offices and it would be ideal for them to be able to pull up this application and be able to email whoever they choose information about us, and be able to populate that email with personalized text, if desired, and especially have the email have a FROM: email of their personal email address (unique to each BlackBerry #) and a unique and personalized signature file to end the email in with their contact information. The interface itself does not need to be graphical or creative, just plain text. The goal is for the salesperson to be able to send an email, that comes FROM them, with THEIR contact info at the bottom, with a standard subject, standard message body, and ability to, if desired, add a personalized part to the message body. With the ability to attach one/many of the doc(s) that exist in a pre-defined folder that the corporate office is able to update as necessary.
