General : Interested in starting a classified advertising site, comparable to craigslist.com for those who are familiar with it. Admin should be able to set up a censored words list, ads should have abilty to be toggeled to auto post or be held for approval before posting. Advertisers should also be able to upload pics (number editable by admin). Points: 1. Needs to be easily editable by me, as I want to set it up to be international, by country, state/province, city/region. 2. I would also like display advertising automated, so clients can chose a banner size, section to post to (sidebar for button banners - top or bottom bar for full size banners) and order number of impressions or number of hrs. banner will run.) Program should be set to then automatically post advertisers banner to the requested category, side/top or bottom page location... and number of impressions or hr. time period tracked. Client should be notified when their time is about to expire so they may repost if they wish. 3. Billing should be set to work with paypal and outside credit card billing agent. 4. Would also like billing to be set to work with Verisign. Front end client sees: 1. should have a main page, side bar on left for button banners or menu, top page for banner ad or site art and bottom page for advertising. Easily editable by me. 2. Ability for clients to send copy of an ad to a friend if they wish. Admin end: 1. Should have ability to change number of ads/postings a particular section will hold and number of days postings will continue to appear. NOTES: Possibly a programmer reading this already has a classifieds program/online newspaper program available and can simply tweak it to my specifications. Please note: I am not interested in a program that has locks on it as I want the ability to make upgrades as I wish, hiring whom-ever I wish to do so, and locks stifle creativity. I would like this installed with my host server and also a copy sent to me with instructions in the case I ever change hosts and need to re-upload the program. This is a general outline, and if there are addl. suggestions on creating a great advertising site or something addl. you as a programmer can offer, please let me know as I am interested! |
