Hi I have flash swf files that read a users email and other info from a txt file. I want a webpage form that can write to a text file, including the formatting that flash needs to read it back. I'll attach the txt file below so you can see exactly what Im talking about. (The file I include is a doc so that I can BOLD and RED the parts that the form needs to customise - but the real file will be a txt file) Its very important that this has to work when the html page and the flash page are both on the users computer as the whole thing will be on a cdRom that they copy to their harddrive. I will want a version for the web too later on. I think if this was a web based thing that php would be the obvious solution - but I don't think that works straight from the hard drive without web connection. Am I right? So can this be best done in java or flash? Or is there some other solution? Its important that the form should work in different browsers (IE, FIrefox, Opera, Netscape) and different versions of windows, but not mac necessarily. I think if you look at the attached file you will get the idea. There are only 2 files on this demo and I need the form to write the red bold sections as well as automatically adding the rest of the text. If a field is left empty on the form it should be empty on the txt file as well. I am thinking that for someone who knows how to do this it will only be a few hours work at the most. I will have other projects soon though and if I have a good experience with this one then I would of course offer the next one to the same person :-) Thanks Dan Vantari |
