Project Description:
Destination Found Requirements. DF evolves around 4 key elements to be successful 1.The Vacation Renter 2.The property Owner 3.DF Continual profit 4.Secure network for renter, list owner, and Destination Found as monies and personal information will be exchanged on this site Elements for the renter 1.One stop vacation shop. 2.Easy access to location desired. 3.Front page find it fast with the drop down estination finder? Search the world by? criteria Rooms Price Location Check in and check out date Each listing should look like an individual website having it own? 1.10 pics 2. 360 degree tour http://www.vrbo.com/91733 This site is another example of 360กกกก degree tour. We will just link to virtual tour. 3. Verbal description of property and area etc. 4. Map locator 5. Availability 6. Email listing 7. Contact seller 8. Book it now pay center? This option becomes available if lister has set up a pay pal account. a. Book it now option should open in separate window. b. Interactive calendar/calculator/currency exchanger c. Link to car rental and flight planner web sites that automatically put in the dates of which were just booked. Travel link sites are to be affiliates with DF. Potential affiliates Carrentals.com Paypal I still looking for a flight affiliate, one that has nothing to do with hotels. Elements for the Property Lister Need Help?! Listing properties can be very stressful and time consuming for the person entering the info. A turn by turn helper with directions would help when they get stuck. Especially when working with the virtual tour uploads. Each step they could hit help with this and a popup would tell them what to do. A lot of the key elements in the renter side above benefits the lister as well. Features: Lister will have a drop down template for a lot of the features of their rental. Please go to www.vacationrentals.com , go to home owner login use? Username: pampoucher Password: bella This will give you a good idea of the backend. From there you can look at the edit screens that have drop down criteria. *View inquiries *View counter *Etc. The backend for the most part I would like to keep similar to this. This area should have a part where they can add a virtual tour, add 10 pics and set up there Paypal account. Paypal: There are a few companies that are coming out with their own version of Paypal but am going to be recommending Paypal and need to banner it to get credit on the referral program. But I also do not want to limit my listers of accounts they may have set up. Or to limit my site as technology moves forward. Any Ideas? Listers with Paypal already should just be able to put there info right in to activate their Paypal account. Website links: Some clients currently have there own sites that list more info on their property and have Paypal accounts already set up there. Such as myself, www.manateeinthemoon.com I inherited this site so please do think I want my site to look like this at all. Thanks! Most sites do not offer the opportunity to put in their home link. I want to make sure we do. In the individual listing it should say iew Property Website? Feed Back: Would like to offer feed back area for renters to view. Lister can accept or deny feedback. To there site. Lister elements continued: Print and market your own property brochure: Listers can use their own site to print nice 3 fold brochures of their place to use as mailers. 2 step process inside and out?The drop down template takes the info already given by the lister and creates the brochure w/ pics. Automatic bookings: Renters do not have to contact the seller to decide they will take certain dates or if dates are available. With the book it now feature, 1. Renters click dates on the calendar which will give a total by the look it?button. I assuming that will be tied in to the daily rates area in the template. 2. Renter hits look it?button. 3. Enters credit card info. 4. Card is processed 5. Calendar is updated automatically 6. Email confirmation of payment and reservation goes out to both parties. Renter should have the ability to update and block dates due to other sites and time already scheduled. http://www.findrentals.com/7037.html this site has allot of the features such as virtual tour, book it now, website link. Front Page: Featured Destination. A featured destination would be in the front and automatically change by setting the criteria by date listed order and rotate daily. Let me know if you get what I mean by this. When renter is in a city search and is looking at a list of rentals I would like to see at least 15 per page with pics. On ebay when you scroll over the pic it will automatically get bigger. Is that something we can do as well. Destination Found continual profit Subscriptions are paid once a year. Front Page List your destination. Enter Credit# and contact info Credit card processed Subscription starts. When subscription is ending? 30 days 15 days 10 days 5 days 1 day before destination found subscription runs out, an automated email will be sent for lister to update there subscription for another year. I will write the automated email as I want to make it personal. A link should be put on this email that says update my property. They hit update my site which will lead to the DF pay site. Predetermined price is in the total section. They enter credit card #. Card gets processed. Email is sent to client to confirm receipt of payment. Site is automatically updated for another year. If lister does not update in time lister starts from scratch should they come back. Inspired sites: www.vacationrentals.com www.findrentals.com www.greatrentals.com www.homeaway.com www.cyberrentals.com Email database for marketing. Would there be a way I could get a databases of the emails entered into DF for mass mailors etc. DF Front Page Modern Design and user friendly. Some sites look to be cropped in the middle and the rest of the area is blank or white. Can that be spread out or the color changed? Like MSN home page has a blue background around the site. That looks better. http://osc.template-help.com/12756/# http://www.finerdesign.com/website-templates/template-12802.html Above links are a few ideas I like for the look of DF. The second one is more modern. I like the moving pics, and scrolling words and sound samples. Hope that will help give you some ideas. Front page should have the following. Tabs? *About us What you get *List your property *Destination finder *Cost *Disclaimors. DF takes no responsibility nor warrants any listings set up by clients. *List of vacation regions, lick?breaking down to countries, lick?then to cities lick? Cities bring up the multiple listings Each listing in the multiple listing page should have a key of what is offered. Calendar, swimming pool, credit cards accepted etc. this would be triggered by what the renter has put into the criteria area. *Cover should also advertise the affiliate companies of DF. But not let them link to it. They link when they are on the look it now?screen. *international weather *Interactive globe *would also like to be able to translate the site or at least the listings. Babble fish does something like this and seems like it could be incorporated. http://www.altavista.com/help/free/free_searchbox_transl Promo codes and free listings. I will be offering free listings to try and get 1 listing in every city filled or close to it. After the mass promo is over I would like to have a way of offering a promo code to potential clients. Logo: This is just something I was goofin around on word art. But would like Something to this effect I think. That or a globe. With either the globe spinning or the arrow on the compass moving. I not the pros. But it looks modern and clean. That what I looking for throughout the site. Secured Site: Security is a big issue and have mentioned it before but would like to know more about and how I can market it to my clients on both sides that all transactions are solid and secure. SEO: Not sure if there are any differences at all internationally but obviously am trying to market world wide. Thank you for taking the time to go through all of my notes. I sure a lot of the things on here are no brainers for you but wanted to give you as much as I could think of at the time. I hope this helps. Feel free to get back with me for any other questions or issues. |
