| Project Description:
The project is to develop a dynamic web site that act as a directory pointing and connecting to other sites with a special link (affiliate). The database includes a list of online shops and of deals and coupons offered by these shops. The application enables the user to retrieve the content based on various keys such as: shop name, products category, new offers, about to expire offers etc. An example of such service can be seen in www.dealcatcher.com or www.bradsdeals.com (no need for forum or add comments at this stage). The site also enables to perform a keywords search and present results from the data base. In addition the program will enable to create email alerts on new info added to the database, based on keywords or by marking various categories. Users will be able to register if wanted. A personalized “My-Space” area on the site will enable users (both registered or non registered using cookies) to add and watch their specific selected deals, shops, or alerts. The program will also include RSS feeds and a mailing system enabling the webmaster to create mailing campaigns made of several emails prepared in advance + a scheduler that send the list of email according to the timing set in the scheduler (for example mail 1 after registration, mail 2 after 1 week, mail 3 after 2 weeks and so on). Users will be able to unsubscribe from the mailing list if wanted so. The webmaster will manage the web and enter content via a CMS. A more detailed spec is available when programmer is selected. We would like to have this web to be up and running as soon as possible no more than 3 weeks. The design should be clean, nice, user friendly Web-2.0 like (more like dealcatcher.com than bradsdeals.com. We would like to have also source codes and good program notes for future activities, and to be in direct contact with the programmer (no outsourcing please). |
