Project Description:
See example "Moving Values Between Select Boxes", here: http://www.mattkruse.com/javascript/selectbox/ I need something like this that handles hierarchical content. For example, say you had "cars", and indented underneath cars you had, "porche and jeep". If I select cars, jeep and porche would clear from the left list and only cars would appear on the right. The same would occur if I selected both jeep and porche because they make up everything under car. The same would also occur if I only move jeep, (jeep just gets moved to the right collumn) and then move porche after moving jeep, again, because they make up everything under car. If I move cars back, jeep and porche would reappear in the in left select box. There will be multiple hierchies (ex: Cars/Jeeps/Red/ etc). The order of the items moved should stay together, so; if I've got "red, white, black, orange, green" indented under Jeeps, and I move orange, and then white, white would position above orange because of it's order in the left collumn. The hierchies, depth, and content will change frequently, so the code should work regardless of what is in the select boxes. |
