| Project Description:
We are seeking a service provider with experience in the OFBIZ framework to import our existing PostgreSQL product tables from a legacy app into the PostgreSQL tables of the OFBIZ framework. You must be able to map the source to the destination fields and place them correctly in the context of OFBIZ. The fields and tables that are added must be done so using the OFBIZ best practices. The service provider will need to consult with us to determine if they should be added as an attribute, as a feature or via simply extending the product entity. This will be open for discussion. We currently have two types of products and they are stored in two separate tables in the database. These tables are structured in such a way that each product type has one main product table that includes product ID’s as values rather than names and then has dependant FK tables-dictionaries with ID/Names that are used to view the products. The service provider will have to make the determination whether to import all the dependant tables or use an existing OFBIZ mechanism to achieve the same usability that the dictionary FK tables would allow. After import. It is imperative that all of our custom fields be visible and editable in the add/view product/inventory screens and be 100% functional. The deliverables will be an OFBIZ-type, hot-deploy component which creates the import and any of the scripts and/or sources, compiled xml and sql etc. |
