Pc based Java or Foxpro program for Windows. Primary Program: Foreign Language Database Program, Translate English to Foreign Language, Option to say english word in foreign language (Play Sound File), Display Word In Foreign Sylabary (Picture - Non English Characters)... Capability to key in letter A, program would display all English words beginning with letter A, alphabetically.... and allow user to scroll through all words in the data base.... (same with letter b,c etc) foreign language word in Newly added descriptions: Pc based Java or Foxpro program for Windows. (English Phoentic would be written (displayed) using english characters not the foreign language sylaby) (Foreign language sylaby is defined as characters in a non english format - Chinese characters would be an example, although not the language to be used in this program) The software would be developed in such a way as to allow the company to sell additional add-on foreign dictionaries.... (Actually "lexicon" is the appropriate word as dictionary implies we are providing definitions, we are not, translations only...) The end user would have the capability to add to the lexcion; a. Add word in english b. Add sound in foreign language, ole c. add phonetic spelling of foreign word using english characters d. Add word in foreign language characters, picture file e. Tag each database file with a category name, i.e. Dog=animals, greetings, verbs, etc... this classification field is open for continous definition... f. add/change/delete routines for all Secondary Program: While the main focus of this program is to allow the user to quickly look up a translation from english to a foreign language... it is also to be used as an educational tool..... The option would be available to do randomized testing of foreign words in the database..... This wold be done in optional ways, user choice.... a. based on categories... i.e. animals, verbs, as mentioned above... b. Foreign word is displayed in actual foreign language characters, (picture) and user inputs english c. Foreign word is displayed in Phonetic english characters, user inputs english d. Foreign word is spoken (ole) and english word is keyed in.... e. Random testing across entire database, program weighs correct ansers and displays those words less and less frequently as user progresses... f. Test logging storage by user... g. Print testing results to printer Database muct be capable of handling 50 thousand words plus.... A version is also desired to run under windows mobile.... All install prorams and routiines.... We will supply graphics to be used.... and historical information on the development of the language... approximately two pages that is to be included as part of the program... Company is open to suggestions in regards to the testing routines and database structures....
