ĦĦĦĦi want a customer ordering website with functions similiar to www.mayuki.com.tw there will be customers page and admin page. we will be holding sales of clothes/items by different shops. for example spree1 = amazon shop, spree2 = walmart shop. each week / day , we will open up a spree for a particular shop that we are going to purchase from. interested customers can submit their orders to us and we will consolidate the orders and buy from that shop in bulk. for customer page, they can login, view their orders for each spree, showing the item name, description, url, price, qty etc. Also they can check their payment status to us. They will need to make 2 payments, 1st payment is for the goods price. 2nd payment is for the delivery + shipping cost after the goods arrive. As we may be buying from various countries, the goods they ordered will most likely be in different currency eg NZD / USD / TWD etc. So we will need a column to input the original price of that currency and another column of the converted local currency (SGD). Then show them the amount they have to pay. We will need the item description to be able to store Chinese characters as well, if the goods are bought from China, Taiwan, Hongkong etc. Hence, the mysql needs to be able to store in Simplified chinese / Big5. and to be able to display correctly. for the admin panel, i will need to have filters, to filter by number of customers in each spree, or for each spree, how many have paid, how many wishes to opt for registered mail etc. Also we have to have a system where it is easy to update the status of the orders, eg when item A ($10) from spree B is sold out, we can just enter this item as sold out and it will automatically update all the orders from the customers as that item they had ordered is sold out and email to them. Their payment got initially will be temporary placed as refund of $10 and when they make their 2nd payment of the shipping, adjustments will be made so they just need to topup the difference necessary, or we have to make refunds. also while filtering, we may wish to mass email a certain group of customers like, all those in spree A who have paid, or all those in spree A with XXX item ordered etc. Additional Info (Added 6/26/2007 at 20:09 EST)... im NOT looking for an ecommerce solution. I do not need the customers to select items n place to any shopping cart. They will give me their orders directly like customer A wants to buy XXXX, qty 1, color blue, cost $100. along with their shipping and payment details |
