| Project Description:
We have a 80% finished business directory for Spain in two languages. The site half works in English and errors in Spanish due to PHP problems. We have an admin area for editing the categories CMS, listings etc but this also needs looking at for user accounts. We have 3 million listings on the server in text doc format with file names by categories ready to be indexed to the DB. Categories already listed. PHP work: There are 3 types of search: 1. Users can select their region and town for more refined results, or simply search the whole country by going straight to the keyword, category or brand search with out selecting the region or town. 2. Category Search by either directory displayed listing or pre filled drop down in the search box. 3. Brand Name search either by pre filled drop down box (have list of brands). The brand search will be introduced at later date and will be <!-- > until required. 4. Keyword search (can enter telephone number or text) fuzzy logic. The entire search Box (to include region & town selection, catagory drop down, brand drop down and keyword search) will be made so that the box can be used on other peoples websites so as to promote the directory. There are three types of account: Free ???Simple listing, listed alphabetically with name, address, tel and web. Not listed on our Mobile Phone search. Sign up forms already in place but linked by email, will be changed to DB. Standard ???Listed above free listing in white box. Same as above and also listed on the mobile phone search. Sign up forms already in place but linked by email, can be changed to DB. Premium ???Listed above all other listings and displayed in a grey box with the clients business logo. Sign up forms already in place but linked by email, can be changed to DB. We would like a Login area so account holders can change and alter their listing and upgrade and downgrade if they wish. In there account will be their billing info, invoices, keywords, brand names, expiry date and stats (how many times the listing has been displayed, not how many times their link has been clicked because a lot of them don’t have websites). In the account area (web admin CMS area) all the information on their sign up form should be displayed there. Obviously username and password access is needed. They should be able to log in through the website which will be located by the English | Espanol area at the top of each page. PHP links. Currently we have our linked optimised for search engines. Our links display the category in words (not PHP format) through our automatically generated sitemaps through the database. It is very imported that this is done when you have completed the PHP work. Listings: On the listings page, we would like a section of the page for written content (shown in diagram when bid excepted). This will be accessed through the web admin CMS area so we can upload and edit the content for each catagory. Part of this is already done in the CMS area, it just needs linking with the front end. Also, we have advert boxes that are displayed on certain pages. At the moment they are static ads. We would like these will rotate with other ad boxes through out the site. All the alterations are explained in detailed diagrams and pictures when we have accepted the bid. Languages: This site is in two languages. So, we have two domains. If a user chooses Spanish it will go to the .es domain and .com for the English. Mobile Phone Search: Currently we have a business directory mobile phone search. This needs modifying. Instead of showing all the listings, we only want premium and standard listings to be displayed (paying clients) on the mobile phone. NO FREE LISTINGS. This is to keep the mobile phone search fast. Also, any category that hasn’t got a Premium or Standard listing in it should not show up on the mobile phone search so as to avoid empty categories. This is in two languages. The mobile phone search also needs a Keyword search. There are also some important notes to read before you except this job. 1.¡¡¡¡When we have accepted the bid and you have full access to the DB and files you must abide by the time schedule agreed. This will be agreed by both of us once we have agreed the bid. 2.¡¡¡¡End the end of each day please email us telling us what has been done. No need for long descriptions, tech is fine. 3.¡¡¡¡This must be complied with. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the project and we will look for another developer.
