Shopera Shopera is an online video shopping network where sellers create and upload original commercials promoting products and services they wish to sell. Buyers would search and view user generated commercials and make purchases. Seller ¡¡¡¡* Seller would create a shopping channel account through a secure connection, the unique identifier for the account would be the seller's e-mail address ¡¡¡¡* The seller would then create a shopping channel profile that would store a description of their brand/service/product, videos, prices and quantity lists for each commercial, and contact information ¡¡¡¡* Once the account is created, the user can login to a secure site that will manage their profile and their various video marketing campaigns ¡¡¡¡* Seller shopping channel profile page should feature id picture, subscription button (rss), message, video list (when users hover over a related video thumbnail to get a bigger view accompanied with a video description caption, about me (short description of seller), contact info, Buyer Experience ¡¡¡¡* Buyers would enter product key words in search bar, highlight a category from drop-down menu, and click the search button to initiate the search ¡¡¡¡* Shopera’s search results are displayed in a list view or grid view format. The search results should provide the buyer with the campaign title, description, video thumbnail or screen shot, length of video (minutes 0:00), link to seller’s shopping channel profile, views, and rating ¡¡¡¡* Shoper’s player page should feature a flash player, campaign title, description, length of video (minutes 0:00), linke to seller’s shopping channel profile, views, comments, subscription (RSS), message button, purchase button, and related video list. Creating & Managing a Video Shopping Channel Marketing Campaign ¡¡¡¡* The would then create a video campaign by providing a title, description, tags, category, price, and quantity. ¡¡¡¡* User would then proceed to upload the video. Videos are limited to 10 minutes and 100 MB ¡¡¡¡* In order for the buyers commercial to go live, the buyer must set a pay-per-play campaign budget. The buyer essentially top up their marketing campaign account and every time somebody views their commercial the seller pays a small fee ¡¡¡¡* Advertiser can easily withdraw or add funds to their marketing account through Paypal ¡¡¡¡* Advertiser can control daily limits for PPC per day or pay week - for example, to only payout $10.00 per day on a marketing campaign. Advertisers also have the option of discontinuing an ad campaign on any particular site by simply deleting the publisher from the advertiser’s ad network campaign Flash Player ¡¡¡¡* Shopera’s video playback technology is based on Macromedia’s Flash Player and uses the Sorenson Spark H.263 video codec. Shopera converts videos into .FLV (Adobe Flash Video) format after uploading. ¡¡¡¡* Shopera should accept uploaded videos in .WMV, AVI, .MOV, MPEG and .MP4 formats. ¡¡¡¡* Video can be seen in windowed mode or full screen mode and it is possible to switch the mode during the visualization of the video without reloading it. Player Features ¡¡¡¡* Player controls – play (plays the video), skip (users can skip videos), volume (user can adjust video volume level), ¡¡¡¡* Video Dock – At the end of the commercial, a video dock will appear featuring related videos at the bottom of the player’s screen, when users hover over a related video thumbnail to get a bigger view accompanied with a video description caption. Arrows on either end of the screen will toggle through to the previous and next related videos available. ¡¡¡¡* Share – Users are able to share videos via e-mail Interface Design The interface for shopera should resemble that of veoh.com Categories Created videos are managed, organized, and stored into categories. |
