I need a website developed that is very similar to myspace with other components I need 100% ownership of all the aspects of the site WEBSITE NEEDS¡¡¡¡ ?¡¡¡¡Is buying enough servers to keep up with demand going to be a challenge like it was with friendsters is ram memory going to be expensive or a problem the software needs to be tweaked to ignore certain things to prevent over calculations and bad load times ?¡¡¡¡I need to know how to control the site to make sure I have full and total control of the site and I need assurance that my site isn’t vulnerable to being tempered with ?¡¡¡¡Myspace networking- each member needs to be able to create their own webpage detailing their specific interest which we use as a database for separate forums to allow others with like interest to give suggestions and share information about different subjects the pages should be uniquely formed for the different groups ?¡¡¡¡The site needs a point system- how do I calculate how points are distributed across the site because each user gets an equal share of the points available but users with ratings for the most help, the most traffic, the most views, etc. need to get added bonuses that can come from the points and from different drawings we have that they can use their points to enter and receive more ?¡¡¡¡The top 5 point earners which is displayed on the home page will be for the most attractive page (most page views), most helpful (answers most questions with top ratings from users), most IT (best IT help for site), most popular (draws most new members to site), Highest earner (earns most points) ?¡¡¡¡I need to know what it takes to get companies to purchase ads on my site and what kind of software is needed to automatically detect and band content deemed inappropriate and keep the site safe from any aspects that will cause conflicts since I will be offering some adult services on my site I need to be able to keep minors from viewing offensive material and allow adults to view it with privacy and ease like when people register and are under 18 they can’t see adult content or engage in anything illegal for children, and adults may want to have nude pictures on their pages which need to be banned from views of minors this feature could be available to individuals that pay a monthly maintenance fee also the lawsuits that youtube are getting is a nuisance how do we prevent that ?¡¡¡¡Google search engine across the site or if possible a more efficient search engine that will put our users as close as possible to where they intend to be with speed and accuracy not limited to having to know exactly what or who your looking for with myspace so many people use the same or similar screen names that in order to effectively search for someone you need to know exactly what their names are the spelling can’t be off a letter we need to be able to put people together through a series of ways like search by city/zip code to help you locate people better, and categories (forums) setup for users to direct others to pages of specific interest- as users interact on the page the most knowledgeable and friendly users will host the pages these pages are separate from their personal pages and pertain to the subject based on facts with an opinion column. ?¡¡¡¡We must capitalize on all media coverage to stay in the know and give people access to the best and most pertinent information available i.e. news, sports, entertainment, etc. The most important factor is that our search engine must be able to put our users exactly where they want to be if a user types in a subject for search we have to be as close as possible to what they are looking for, and give them suggestions for better searches to help narrow it down to exactly what they are looking for with the best available speed. ?¡¡¡¡Ad money is very important, but keeping people on the site is the reason we can demand top dollar from potential clients so it’s not as important to have statistics that show that ads are being placed on a bunch of pages because this can take away from the functionality of the site whatever makes it more functional and efficient is our number one priority ?¡¡¡¡Hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and annual random lump sum points giveaways, drawings and rewards for answering questions or contributing to the sites development like for IT pros that eliminate problems or advance functions on the site and for the top users of a time period that answer other users questions and help draw more users to the site qualify for a points pot. Our front page needs to incorporate all the information, networking, different eye catching opportunities (free manufacturer samples, giveaways like craigslist free stuff, classifieds, etc.) and the drawings, also the amount of points that the average user shares in the, we need to incorporate a system that mimics all drawings like scratch offs, 50/50, deal or no deal etc. to keep users contributing and driving the point system ?¡¡¡¡The front page need only showcase a small portion of different aspects not to overburden potential members and take away room from potential advertisers. The point’s pot needs to be displayed in big bright lights and colors across a banner that stays on every page and on the bottom of that banner the average amount each user automatically receives for being a member. Our advertising can not be too extreme to interfere with the ease of the site our advertisers can bid on the back drop of the log in/out pages they can have small attachments to different sites and we can put them on the sites that reach their desired demographics. They can also sponsor pages and or host forums as long as they don’t control the content they can merely advertise and the user’s control. ?¡¡¡¡You tube- we need to be able to allow people to share their lives over the network without the problems associated with copyright lawsuits ?¡¡¡¡Yahoo question, answer and point system for users ?¡¡¡¡Ability to advertise things like craigslist.org or ebay.com we also will give out points for giving away things like a consignment shop ?¡¡¡¡Comment box along with ad for each log off- to allow users to tell us what will make our site better for them ?¡¡¡¡Accountant software that evenly distributes available points across our network and a miscellaneous points put with advantages to people for specific reasons, most helpful to others, most participation in drawings and different things to keep network unique and booming, being in the network the longest ?¡¡¡¡Security is a major concern with all the identity theft and stuff going on we need adequate security ?¡¡¡¡Inmates we cannot afford to not tap into this industry- through snail mail we can offer services catered to inmates in institutions there’s also people without access to the net and if they subscribe through snail mail we can send out newsletters showing details of their accounts and the new opportunities available and we need to look into something involving senior citizens ?¡¡¡¡Advertisement- how can we assure our advertiser they will get their moneys worth in order to get top dollar we need to offer more incentives to our potential clients like allowing them to pick the type of consumer they want to reach we can place their ads on these sites, but what if advertisers solicit our page host and make side deals allowing them to eliminate their ad fees from us we can limit the exposure by only allowing content to remain for a limited time and policing the site for such things ?¡¡¡¡How can I secure my idea wont get stolen from a programmer or webmaster ask the people at scriptlance (non-disclosure) ?¡¡¡¡We need the ability to collaborate w/ wikipedia I want to be able to have an archive of anything and everything like wikipedia with the advantage of if people want to see a news article from ten years ago or if people want to see a television show or a sports highlight things of that nature I know this is going to be very hard to achieve and it maybe cost effective but this is the goal of the site to be able to be a one stop place for anything and everything. I would like to let people upload things off their own PC and allow it to be used on the site but I think the individuals responsible for the content need to be compensated like music, news, sports, movies, etc. but not at the expense of the users or the site if I wont be able offer these services for free then for my monthly subscribers that pay for unlimited services to have these things and at the lowest rate to us as possible ?¡¡¡¡Peer 2 Peer file sharing capabilities will also be needed to share content maybe a partnership with Shareaza or one of those companies ?¡¡¡¡The site will also need paypal or something to handle transactions with monthly members ?¡¡¡¡Our site needs to have the unique edge of being able to integrate with other social network providers (having the 1000th social network is silly) when you sign up we need to offer to troll the internet for things like your other social network accounts, your photos, and live blogs to help in building your profile with us (example: socializr) ?¡¡¡¡Our members that setup accounts via snail mail will be updated weekly of the different opportunities and their account info. via news letter ?¡¡¡¡We need to create an affiliate program to help with advertisement and the revenue we can demand from potential advertisers |
