What I need done: Little audio software for Windows Vista which would allow to: - select input (recording) device from available in the system, like: line, mic, digital input, etc; - select output (playback) device from available in the system, like: speakers, headphones, digital output, etc; - route (play) audio signal from selected input device to selected output device; - when needed, use one of available in the system (selectable) software audio codecs for AC3 and DTS decoding of input signal. - application shall remember last settings, must be minimizable to system tray and start minimized. - application shall be able to work with multiple sound cards. Working scenario: 1. Standalone DVD player with Dolby Digital 5.1 (DTS) content is connected to PC via optical cable. 2. User selects: input = digital optical, output = computer speakers (2 channels), codec = one of available. 3. Audio is played on PC speakers (decoded from 5.1 to 2.0 channels) Interface: - three dropdown lists for selection (input, codec, output). - close and minimize window buttons. Best regards. |
