A San Francisco start up is looking for a developer to create a pop-up calendar/datepicker for a travel-related webiste. The calendar would have generally similar functionality to most such calendars on travel websites (such as Expedia or Kayak.com for example, or any other major such travel site.) Specifically it would need to have this functions - pop up to allow selection of travel travel dates input - javascript based for fast performance - simple, single border look (like one on Expedia or Kayak) - invalid (past) dates greyed out to prevent such selection - clearly visible today's date and valied dates - ideally open to two months view for easier selection - easily customizable general look and feel (via CSS/HTML) - work reliably in all major browsers - IE, FF, Safari, and Opera - preferably be built/configured/re-skinned from a provel calendar base, rather than written from scratch - enable type-in text entries in the date field in addition to picking from pop-up - be configurable in terms of setting local date/timezone references In general work in a smilar manner to such datepicker on major travel websites - like expedia.com or kayak.com Must be delivered in a way that is easy for us to integrate into a travel-booking webpage Newly added descriptions: Must deliver in a fully functional single Browser page with two input fields for testing: "Departure Date Field" and "Arrival Date Field". All functionality mentioned above must be testable and verifiable on this page. |
