Project: Upgrade and add new functionally to existing php classifieds website. Php code provided below. It is a generic copy of a php classifieds website written with Smarty Templates, Php and MySQL. I like the code and could modify it myself but realize that if it can be completed by someone faster it would help me focus on other priorities. Most of the functionally and programming is simple for people who have developed php websites already. Details: Some of the functions that need to be added: -Remember me function (cookie, added to existing login functionality) -Resize image and then upload to site (Possibly using Java, currently the images are being uploaded and then resized causing errors) -Sponsored listings like on ebay, ie. sponsored ads at the top. -Optimize database and webpage making it scalable for more users (currently it seems to slowdown with a lot of posts so suggestions are welcomed) This is priority #1! The faster the better as I can tell it is slow because the testing server is slow. -Add a section on recently viewed ads like on ebay. -A few more options that I would like added but most are minor. This post is just to see who is interested as I know experienced programmers will find most of these tasks simple. All functionality must be detailed. This is not my website, just a generic copy of an existing script but my one will need to altered as well by myself so it must be easy to follow. Advanced PHP experience with MySQL is a must! |
