Project Description:
**** RELIST Due to Failed Delivery by Previous Provider **** I work for a company that creates gaming portals for promotional and marketing companies. We're constantly looking for skilled developers and are also looking to build long term relationships. Firstly we are looking for someone to help us build an engine similar to this? http://www.playdojam.com/ We'd start off with the basic engine and build a library of games around it in 2D and maybe 3D in the future. Basically, what we want is a motion tracking (via webcam) engine done in flash. I have snippets of public domain flash projects that do some basics, but the playdo software is more advanced than basic movement detection. I have also written a game based on these snippets that has enhanced some of the code. If you don't have a webcam you can watch the video on their site too. Essentially what we would like you to do is create the basic engine and include a simple game with it. The game can be just bouncing a ball in the air or something like that. Their system is fairly matured, so we think if you could analyse it on a modular level would be good. For example, their engine had the capability of doing split / cam versus and coop modes, we would NOT need that at the start but we could look at it in the future. Some things we'd need for the first phase of the engine are 1. Adjustable threshold detection / removal of backgroundnoise 2. Multiple clipping / movement zones. (ability to detect 4 objetcs moving like hands and feet) 3. Collision detection 4. Movement and Velocity calculation, so we could hit a ball with force. We have lost almost 2 months of development on this game due to the previous provider not delivering anything worthwhile during that time. We don't want this to happen again, and we would appreciate this project to be treated as a priority when taken on. Regards, Peter Hopkins Technical Director C8 Technology |
