we are looking to automate several office processes based around one access database. currently our engineers input inspection data on an access database on palmtop computers. on return to our office the engineers use microsoft activesync to move the file to the pc and convert it to ms access format. from there we currently manually export the data to an excel spreadsheet to get the layout we require. the layout is an industry standard form which the data has to populate. after this the office team manually print the file and add the additional printed sheets, these are currently word documents (terms of trading, important information, and a quality assurance sheet). finally a certificate of inspection has to be produced. the office staff have to manually enter the address on a word document and print this onto a pre-printed certificate. ideally we want the following to happen.: - engineers enter the address on the palmtop database. - engineers enter the inspection data. - upload to computer - run software/access - load printer with the certificate as first page - hit print and pages are printed in the correct order, all looking as they should. can you do this for us? we are a small company, without a huge budget, however we need timesaving ideas! |
