DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONALITIES: 5.1 .Log in / authentication: the SGE must take into account that users could come from the domain or not. Due to that I will be used the authentication architecture offered by ASP.net 2.0. For domain user the log ing user will be the one used in the domain, for those external users it will be the personal ID number. In order to carry out the authentication process in both environments it will be used: ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider SqlMembershipProvider 5.2. Information stored on the SGE: the SGE will store information about users, exams definition and exam results. 5.3 User Management: the SGE will allow to add / edit / delete users. The list of users will be shown table that could be explore it forward or backward an specified number if users (for example: next 20 users). It will be also possible to search users whose data sheet contain an specific search term (for example: peter, smith, etc) and the result of the search will include two links: one to the user data sheet and another to the exams done by the user. 5.4 Exam management: the exams follow the format of est checkbox exam for example: Instructions: there are 4 possible answers, but only one is correct. Please check the correct answer Question: What is the biggest city in Europe? [ X ] A) London [ ] B) Madrid [ ] C) Berlin [ ] D) Rome The exam questions will be choosing at random by SGE from a group of questions grouped by subjects and lessons previously approved by the teacher responsible of that exam. The teacher will also establish the conditions of the exam according to the following parameters: Duration of the exam (in minutes) Total Number of questions Minimum number of correct answers necessary to pass the exam Selected Subjects for the exam Is allow that user sees the result just after doing the exam Could the test being interrupted and placed on stand by How many stand by pauses are allowed Maximum duration of each pause Time that should pass before a suspense candidate could do a new exam. 5.5. Reports and Data export: it will be allow configuring filters to help the SGE administrators to obtain useful reports and relevant information about the exams done. SGE will not offer and complex tool for data manipulation. In order to allow complex manipulations of data, it will be able to export the information to Microsoft excel. 5.6. Massive upload of users and questions: In order to allow the massive upload of questions and candidates, it will be developing a process that starting from one excel document, it will generate the database entrances. It will migrate the information from excel to the database. This process will be used for the initial upload of information to the SGE 5.7.- Exams execution: one time logged the candidates could access to the list of exams in which they are inscribed (showing the exams done and also those pending to be done). If they click on one old exam they will be shown the mark obtained on that exam, showing the questions and the correct responses. If they click on a pending exam, they will be redirect to a page in which they could check the exams conditions and where they could start the exam. If during the exam the candidate is allowed to do pauses, the SGE will show a pause button. The exam could end due to two reasons: the time for doing it is run out or the candidate click on have end the exam 5.8. look and feel: the complete requirements are already defined. Guide of styling will be provided. It will be also provided, the designs concepts for SGE screens and the excel formats for data extraction and migration 2.-RFP Instructions RFP submissions are required to respond to each of the questions requested in this document by Final Customer and/or Outsourcing Agent. Spain has an excess of graduates, meaning that 18% of graduates are unable to find a job four years after finishing university education. This is the highest rate amongst the EU countries. As a result of this average salaries are in general lower than in countries with a similar GDP. Even though salaries are steadily rising, a programmer with 2 years of experience and English language skills only earns about 1000per month. This is less than 1400$ for 8 hours / day. You could check it in job sites like www.infojobs.net 10.- Disclaimer This RFP is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation.
