Brief For Website Creation Project www.BraintreeConservativeFuture.com & www.webcanning.com Layout ??Must match Conservative colours (www.conservatives.com) ??A clean, modern, web 2.0 style layout. ??Easy to navigate and simple. ??The same sort of menu format as www.conservatives.com where there are several main links along the top and then the rest of the links in categories down the side. ??Above the side menu I need a search this site form and a subscribe to mailing list form. Pages Different pages that will be required are: ??Top Bar Links o Home o News o Webcanning (www.webcanning.com) o About Us o Meet Us o Get Involved o Shop ??Side Bar Links (They will be split into categories) o Newsroom ??Latest Headlines ??Speeches ??Reports o Webcanning ??Stephen?? Diary ??Videos o Policy ??Our Vision ??Our Policies ??Campaigns o Meet Us ??Chairman ??Members ??National Management Executive ??Brooks Newmark ??Events o About Us ??Vision and Values ??History o Get Involved ??Join ??Donate ??Shop ??Forum ??Contact User Accounts The website will require a user account system. A login section will be on the website and once a user is logged in they can comment on different news headlines, reports and articles, participate in the forum and indicate whether they are attending events or buy tickets to events. The website will have a join page where people can register. They will have to tick a box to say they wish to join the Braintree Conservative Future as a Member (must be under 30) or a Friend. It will then ask if they wish to join the Conservative Party as well or not or if they are already a member. They then must fill in a series of details Title, Forename, Middle Initials, Surname, Gender, House name/number and street, Village / district, Town / city, County, Post code, Evening phone number (including dialling code), Daytime phone number (including dialling code), Mobile Phone Number, Email address, Password and Date of Birth. They will then be asked to make a payment of ?3.00 to join the Braintree Conservative Future and if they have selected to join the Conservative Party an extra ?5 if under 22 and ?25 if over 22. Once they have joined an account is automatically created for them on the website and they are told that a Conservative account will be made shortly (if they opted for one). An email will be sent to me saying a new member has joined and giving me their full details and whether they opted for a Conservative Party membership. I need to be able to a switch off the ?3.00 charge from the admin section (at first I will not be charging for membership) but they will still have to pay either ?5 or ?35 if they wish to join the Conservative Party as well. I need to be able to create user accounts manually as well. Ads I need spaces for ??ds??down the side of the page. This will all be linking to current campaigns and projects on the site. Shop I also need you to customise a premium http://www.comboutique.com Shop to match seamlessly with the main website. The shop must feature exactly the same design, menus and layout so it looks like another page of my site. It will be linked to from the menu button Shop. As the shop is hosted by Cafepress I want the Shop button to link to www.braintreeconservativefutureshop.com. The system only allows the editing of the header and footer in html and then changing the fonts and colours of the rest of the site with drop down lists. Administration The website needs a very complete administration system from which all content can be controlled. Features required are: ??Add News Headlines. ??Upload reports (which are usually 2 page documents). ??Add events and view who is attending. ??Control the content of any page. ??Control ??ds??and where they link to. ??Send out newsletters to members. ??Create user accounts. ??Manage new users. o I need to be able to see who has created an account online, whether they chose to join the party as well or not. I then need tick boxes which I can tick to say I have completed a certain task. Once all boxes have been ticked then the user disappears from the new members list. The boxes will be: ??Conservative Party Account Created (Will only show up if they asked for a Conservative Party Account). ??Welcome Pack Sent. ??Attended First Meeting. Webcanning www.webcanning.com This website will need to be an interesting web 2.0 layout and noticeably different in some way to the main website. Pages required are Home, Diary, Policies, Campaigns and Reports. It needs an admin system from which I can control all of the content on the website and post to the Diary and when posting have a checkbox when if ticked the entry is also submitted to the news headlines on www.braintreeconservativefuture.com. I also need a mailing list sign up form. |
