I have a tool which I have developed using Lotus 123 (Excel). It allows Schools to run 5 year long range financial planning models. THe tool demands that they enter certain key data in the current year and then allows them to enter changes in future years. It Graduates assumptions from year to the next and allows the user to change assumptions at any point along the process. For example. YOu have a kindergarten class of 25 students this year. THe tool understands that these students will graduate to Grade 1 next yr and gr 2 the year after that and so on. It allows the user to drop student in any year or for that matter add students to this class in subsequent years. It also looks at school fees at individual grade levels and it looks at financial aid. The tool produces reports showing graphs and statistics at all levels. I need to convert this tool into an easy to use software application that the end user could either install on their own station or conversely use from a web-based terminal with passwords... I am not certain which would be the best platform for programing this but I suspect that ASP/PSP or Visual basic may work |
