Your role: I am looking for a person or a team doing webdesign and applying the result as a theme to a website that uses Drupal 6 as a CMS. This website shows the portfolio of a photographer. It is a pretty simple Drupal 6 website using the image module displaying a photo gallery. I already finished the design of the homepage and tested it successfully in static HTML and as a first quick and dirty implementation. The design needs some corrections over here and there and needs to be adopted for further pages of the website. After that, you have to transform it into a theme for Drupal 6. This is not a one time project, there is the initial design and theming, then rolling out different language versions of the website with probably adoptions of the theme and then ongoing updates and maintenance of the theme. In order to get my attention please provide me with very specific information about your qualifications for this project. Your Task: * pick up the design that I did for the homepage, apply corrections (things like more space here and there, other font for buttons etc) * apply the design to two second level pages, probably the contact page and the photo-album page in order define how such pages should look like in your design. * develop a theme for Drupal 6 I provide: * the unthemed website in Drupal 6 * a server with that website and FTP access so you can to play around with it * static HTML of the homepage featuring the design I came up with * the design in a photoshop file with layers * a list of corrections that need to be applied * a basecamp project website to keep track of the progress of this little project Timeline: June 9th: start theming July 14th: final version of the theme which has been tested by me successfully Payment: Milestones/Percentage of released funding: Final design has been delivered (just as photoshop) 30% First version of theme has been applied to the testwebsite 30% Final version of the theme has been tested successfully by me 40% Rules: * The theme needs to work in all major webbrowsers (Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera) on Windows and Mac with none or with just very minor flaws. * The current, untheamed website validates successfully against XHTML 1.0 Strict (http://validator.w3.org). With your theme applied it should still validate successfully unless we have a really good reason that it does not validate (some fancy but strange ajax stuff or similar) Professionals You Contacted Qualifications and Experience Required Primary Skill: Websites-Database/Ecommerce (Dynamic) Additional Skills: Webdesign, Drupal Theming, English language Newly added descriptions: To have an idea of your work quality and cost before we move on with much more work, we’d like to put you on a paid trial job first. We’d like you to make two little tweaks to our Drupal6 charity site www.artandaid.org. We’d like you to change two things in the exisiting theme: 1. The headlines should be red instead of grey. These are the headlines like “Raffletickets” “Find here” and etc. Technically spoken this means that the style for the H1-headlines should get the color #ff0000. 2. The photo from Xinhua.net should be presented larger and it should be moved into the dark grey header. Similar to the layout shown at http://www.artandaid.org/secretgarden/design/webdesign/index.html. Don’t care about all the other aspects of this layout; We just want to use the layout to make clear what we mean with “the photo should be moved into the dark grey area.” The website is Drupal6 with the standard theme of Drupal, which is named “Garland”. We can provide a server with a copy of the charity site for you to try with and we can provide larger version of the photo. So, please quote us your flat price, turnaround time, payment terms and etc. for this trial work. After this trial work, if we are satisfied with your performance, we’d like to move on with the drual theming project either on a hourly charged basis or on a flat cost basis.
