Project Description:
I have a .net/asp/cs/js web application interface that needs tweaking. Please visit demo at http://www.shkq.net/demo/gmap/ type: 'Philadelphia' under city tab then click go. when search page loads click on 'ID' and page will load. An error will display 'Cannot parse the address' Review: http://www.shkq.net/demo/gmap/js/search.js http://www.shkq.net/demo/gmap/js/jquery.js The main issues include: 1. solve the google map error that occurs when the address can not be parsed. 2. the error for parsing the addresses on google maps could be solve in other ways. For example, is it possible to send the address to another mapping service like yahoo to see whether or not the mapping feature will list the details I am seeking. Another solution might include whether or not adding two more fields to the database. The two fields would be longitude values and the next will be latitude. Those fields would contain the coordinates that google maps need to draw the maps information i am seeking. It may be that another script that has to process the lookup for the long and lat values before adding them to the database, however at least we know that the actual points are there. This may have to happen after the initial information we are pulling from the counties are put into the database. What do you think? 3. there should be an option to download the report as a pdf or csv file. This would be an option at the top and bottom of the interface page and would include the entire report. |
