Servicios T?cnicos Avanzados is seeking an experienced C# .NET 2.0 WinForms programmer to provide remote coaching on WinForms problems as they occur. At this point we are not planning to contract out large pieces of software development. What we are looking for is an experienced programmer to complete small test programs that show how to accomplish particular functions that we are having difficulty doing with WinForms. This will not be a full time job. We expect that our typical tasks will be in the several hours to several days range. The first task, listed below, is typical. It is hard to tell at this point, but we estimate that there will be one to five tasks per month for the next several months. All our prior work was in C++, so C# is our language of choice for user interface development. In the future we anticipate needing similar coaching with .NET 3.5 WPF programming. Task 1: One of our WinForm programs asks for a folder path. We need to save this as a user scoped property in the user.config file and retrieve it from there when the program is launched again. We want to use the PerUserRoamingAndLocal configuration level. We want to use standard .NET 2.0 methods for accessing the user.config file. For example, use the ConfigurationManager object or the Properties.Settings object. The task is to take our small C# test program, which does not correctly save/restore the settings, and get it to save/restore the settings. This should work when the test program is ClickOnce deployed, as well as when running with the VisualStudio 2005 debugger. |
