I'm starting a pub poker league where players will play poker in different venues for prizes. I need a league table to be displayed on my website in MYSQL and PHP which will show the current standings of the players in each particular venue. A red line should be put below the top 25% of players in each venues league indicating that these players are in a qualifying position for the seasonal final. Venues should belong to a region, whereas I will only start with one region I will be expanding in the future and the new venues I get in the future must be possible to assign to a seperate region. Furthermore, each venue is going to be assigned a poker captain and I should be able to assign poker captains to a venue via an admin section. I should be able to enter this persons details and provide them with a login name and password which will give them access to entering a tournaments results for their venue only. It is important that these poker captains are limited to entering results for only their designated venues. When captains are entering results they should enter each members unique ID number. Poker captains should be allocated specific ID numbers which they are allowed to use before the evening of the tournament. After entering the member ID in position 1 for example, the players name should pop up on screen for confirmation. The admin section when I log in should allow me to create new regions, new venues, new seasons, new members, new tournaments. When the poker captain logs in he should just be allowed to enter the positions of members for a specific tournament I have set up and he should only have access to enter tournament results to tournaments held at the venue he is assigned to. The points awarded will be 200 * total players (in that tournament) and then in percentage as follows 1st = 30% 2nd = 20% 3rd = 15% 4th = 9% 5th = 8% 6th = 7% 7th = 6% 8th = 5% 50 points for all others. After 4 games the season will come to an end and all players above the red line from each venue will be invited to a regional final. After this final a new season will begin. I have began to create this in filemaker pro which can be used for conversion if needed. No GUI is present in the filemaker pro file, just relationships defined and calculation for points awarded. Newly added descriptions: Poker captsins should be allocated specific ID numbers before the evening of the tournament so that they can write these numbers down on membership cards which will be handed to the players on the night of playing the tournament. The poker captain will make a note of the players name and ID number on the night of the tournament and should be able to update a member ID with the players name by logging into the admin section. Members should not be linked to a venue as they should be allowed to play in multiple venues with the same membership ID. When entering the website people should be able to choose what region of the tables they went to view. Then what venue in that region and be brought to the latest currently active season. Previous seasons should be provided as an option to view old results kept in archive. The website is already complete except this database which needs adding to the league page.
