Project Description:
Develop a software user interface that will capture images or video from triggered Firewire (1394) cameras and save those images to disk. The inital phase will be to capture images from a single camera based on a hardware trigger to the camera. The image must be shown on the user interface, and saved in either uncompressed or compressed form to the hard drive. The second phase will be to capture images from up to 5 Firewire cameras (synchronized) and save those images similarly to disk. The successful bidder must deomonstrate knowledge of Firewire camera interfacing, image capture and storage techniques, and the rates at which images can be compressed and stored to the hard drive. The system development should be in Visual C++ and run on a Windows PC with operating system XP. |
