I have no system at all developed for this project.
LINEN HIRE SOFTWARE

OUR CURRENT LINEN PROCESS
1.  Client makes order for linen (tablecloths, napkins, sheets, pillowcases and more)
2.  The stock is bagged in plastic and a docket is written in book for what is ordered and being delivered.
3. linen is delivered to the client
4. At the end of the week orders in docket/delivery book is inputted into invoice system Quicken.
5. The following week or maybe the same week the driver returns and collects all dirty linen. The linen is placed in a linen bag and tagged with the client?? name. Sometimes the client has not used all linen so clean linen is left behind, and only dirty linen returns to factory.
6. The dirty linen is then returned to the factory and counted by staff. The linen returned is hand written into a book under the clients name.
Then sometimes if we can find the time we will try to place orders and returns together in spreadsheet but mostly we have no accurate way to track our lost stock.

HOW THE SOFTWARE NEEDS TO WORK TO BE SUCCESSFUL/USEFUL
The order/deliver date
The staff selects the clients name
Products are chosen
colour is chosen
How many the clients wants (clients name, date, product type, product colour, how many ordered, and notes)

The staff member then prints out a delivery docket from the order that was inputted into the software. The delivery docket will then be given to the driver to place on the linen.

When the dirty linen is returned a staff selects the clients name and types the date, type of product, amount and colour into the software as returned linen.

The staff will then generate what stock is missing for that client.

The staff will also need to input damaged stock and a place to put what type of damage such as mildew, cut, burnt cloths.

SOFTWARE important factors

1.  The software will need to allow us to add, delete and edit products.
2.  The software will need to allow us to create accounts for each client and the software should keep a constant running tally.
3.  The software will allow us to make changes to the information inputted in case of mistakes,
4.  Needs to show what stock is available in the factory (stocktake)

5.  The software should allow the staff to email each client their missing stock list????(generic letter with our letterhead) as well as a damaged stock list.

6.  Reports to be generated should be
(a) stock not returned per client
(b) stock not returned overall clients
(c) stock damaged per client
(d) stock damaged over all clients
(e) stock ordered per client
(f) stock ordered overall clients (showing the most used cloths)
(g) how much stock is left in the factory (give us stock levels)
