Project Description:
First of all let me introduce my company. I started a company called the Pistol Poker League two months ago. I offer joe public the opportunity to play poker for entertainment in public houses in my home town in the UK. These tournaments that they play each week have been assembled into a league. Players earn points each week they play. Players receive an invite to final tournaments should they finish in the top 25% of their league. These points are displayed on my website as a league table where a database is already in place to support this. I require the current database to be upgraded and the programmer I previously used is too busy to get this done soon. I have 11 requests for bugs which need updating and I have written them in the following fashion. URL of page with error What is currently being displayed What I want to be displayed Some are easier than others. The update which probably requires the most attention is editing the email.php page to allow for HTML emails to be sent as currently it is just a simple mail form where I can choose to send emails to Newly added descriptions: I have 11 requests for bugs which need updating and I have written them in the following fashion in a DOC file which will be provided once I have accepted the winning bidder. URL of page with error What is currently being displayed What I want to be displayed Some are easier than others. The update which probably requires the most attention is editing the email.php page to allow for HTML emails to be sent as currently it is just a simple mail form where I can choose to send emails to "members" or "captains". Other updates require new fields being added, displaying members who belong to one region on web page only whilst allowing end user to choose which region from a menu bar, moving the location of a menu bar on php page, organising venue locations into columns ordered by days (MON-THURS), returning to the same page of editing a members profile after clicking submit instead of going back to page 1, offering a place to the highest placed loser if one player has finished in the top 25% of multiple leagues and finally only displaying information in a menu bar that are involved in the current active season. I don't consider this to be a massive upgrade, a few bugs just need fixing. Further upgrades are likely to be required in the future. |
