Trax Arts Website > www.trax.org Rework & Refresh our Website. Please send time and pricing requirements along with examples of previous work done. For experienced professionals only. We are on a tight budget, but willing to establish long relationship for future projects. About the Brief: We love the core design of our site & wish to increase its strengths. It's simple, it's flash & it doesn't flaunt it. But there is some work to be done to make our site punch above its weight... We need our text boxes to do a better job of delivering key information, like HTML is so good at. We also need a fully functioning multimedia gallery for video & stills, standalone audio is not important. The site needs to be able to offer PDF downloads & be able to link out to external HTML portals we create for other projects. Lastly, and most importantly, we need a GUI content management interface which allows us to easily update our site. The interface should reside on our server which we can access via the web to update & add content to our pages. Being an arts company we are seeking a designer/technician who is equally ??ight & left brained??when it comes to design & function. Send me flash examples of your work & respond specifically to this brief. Thanks. Looking forward to hearing from you. ---------------- LOOK & FEEL 1. Redesign Intro Page ??4 user choices a) 4 key mouseover areas which can be turned on & off b) Although in a grid, each clickable area is represented by an image which is not square (ie gif w/ tranparency) c) One of those areas is permanently dedicated to enter the main site & represented by our logo. The second might be a ticketing gateway for a current production, the third could be a link to profile our most current project & the fourth could be access to our Digital Bridge (Skype-like interface) when it's switched on... 2. New loader animation a) Can be anything simple b) Ideally incorporating our logo/name c) Or just clever & fun. 3. Sand Background Text Box a) Need to display grain on all four sides of image we will provide a new image b) Tweak image for maximum readability & quick loading c) Scrollable Text Boxes d) Can the whole site be resolution independent? 4. Video & Stills Gallery a) If we could embed a VIMEO player into flash that would probably serve us fine. From my preliminary research that's not yet possible, but prove me wrong. b) An alternative would be a similar kind of thumbnail based gallery which the user can mouseover, preview & choose from our catalogue of short films. c) We will re-render our content in whatever format specified, eg FLV, etc. d) The Stills Gallery could again be an embeded viewer from another picture hosting site if that we possible, but barring that we are happy to match the look & feel of the video gallery. e) We'd like the Stills Gallery to have a one-click Slideshow button with audio we link in via an mp3. f) When Video/Stills are selected we would like them to play using the full flash stage of the site in a window which appears over the site. A close button & play control would be obvious. CONTENT MANAGEMENT INTERFACE 1. Easily updatable web-based site editor which sits on our hosting server, like a CSS reference utility 2. Basic page & text editing functions 3. Ability to move pages & subpages around in different hierarchal orders 4. Ability to upload media content including... pdf, mp4, mp3, flv, mov, jpg, gif 5.
