I had a minimalist linux system built. I need it to support 32bit 850mhz celeron 1gig ram, linksys network card, standard intel video chip, 1 Kodicom 4400R Bttv Video encoder card. Need the linux core to have to following features. 1. have linux motion installed see the following link for details. http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/MotionGuideInstallation#How_do_I_install_Motion 2. fully support the Kodicom 4400R card 3. remote desktop server the will allow me to run clients on windows xp machines. maybe freeNX or whatevery works best. 4. I dont wont any Permission problems. so I need some kind of root password option built into the system. that will allow me to run as limited user and still make admin (root) changes. 5. The system will run surveillance video encoding processes so I need only the basic core processes to run. so that all the resources can be used to encode the video. 6. the window manager can be any one of your choice. I like fluxbox 7. the system will run 24/7 so I need it to run reliably 8. Need some simple motion options running as well. like maximum video folder size daemon, watchdog daemon see motion's web site the scripts are there for you to use . |
