I have various web projects requiring PHP, MySQL, Perl, HTML & Javascript, Photoshop. I am looking for a versatile assistant to work with me building/editing/fixing these sites. I need someone who: - can communicate well in spoken English - available via Skype audio (or other) - can work some hours between 9a - 1a EST U.S. time (Washington DC) a few days a week - willing to work collaboratively with me - honest about his/her skill level, strengths, and weaknesses - willing to learn - willing and able to figure out an existing site and troubleshoot - happy doing mundane text edits as well as more challenging programming - happy doing small jobs and individual specific tasks - can handle constructive criticism - an individual and not a company - available off and on for the next several months - comfortable interacting with clients - personable (a good sense of humor is a bonus) - a broad range of basic web dev skills and a willingness to learn - paid hourly - reliable and conscientious Some typical requests may be: - find an image of a wrench and insert it on this page - add javascript validation to a form - change the table-based design of a page to CSS - troubleshoot this javascript error - create a simple form that inserts the data into a MySQL database - add a field to the form and to the MySQL database - find a good free chat script/bulletin board/blog script Let me know your hourly rate, your skills, and your interests.
