| Project Description:
The aim of this project will be to create a web services, where students can enrol their module options choice from using Module Options Form System. The current problem is we have a spreadsheet to manage all the enrolment process for the past year. The idea is to create an electronic process of collecting student data, which will be done by the web-based application. The project makes use of web Technologies as the gateway to serve its clients (students). The Aims are: ??The aim of the system is to allow user to select modules and change module online. ??Clash Check: The system should be able to check for the clashes between the modules, which the students have selected. ??Course Routes: Here the system should be able to show different modules related to the particular course. ??Credit check: Each module has 15 credits to be given to the student at the completion of the module. Therefore, the system should be able to check that the student has selected the modules equivalent to 60 credits; there are 60 credits available at the end of each semester. There are 2 semesters in total. So the system should allow no more than 120 credits and no less. ??CrossCheck: This will check the students who have selected the module against the students who have not yet selected the modules. To make sure the students have selected the correct number of modules for the particular course. 4 modules for semester 1 and 4 for semester 2. Admin ??Manage all students??optional selection forms. ??Seat availability: The administrator must be able to set the seat available for each module or class. E.g. only 20 students for a class. ??Must be able to add new, delete and edit courses and the course description. ??Must be able to check how many students have selected the option and how many are left to select an option. The technology used should be PHP. |
