Project Description:
Looking for a C# and XML expert to develop a program that will perform the following tasks: 1. Go to FTP server every 5 minutes to download new XML files to local server. 2. Load XML file, parse it, and save XML data and processing information to SQL Server 2008 database in the way as specified in the requirements. Database design will be given. The exact requirements will be given in early-August, and work needs to be completed within 4 weeks after being chosen to do the work. 3 weeks of estimated time if you are really good at C# and XML. Quality and scalability are the keys. Thank you. Newly added descriptions: Thanks everyone for your interest. I can't reply to everyone. Here is some more clarifications. Final requirements will be ready in mid-August. 1. You will be working with one main large XML data file and 4 other secondary XML files for each process. You will shred the main file one node at a time (each element or each attribute is one row in a table). Schema validation is not required; but you need to look up some data in the secondary files. Data file may be 100k to 10 MBs. 2. Database tables will be provided to you. You will need SQL Server 2008 Express installed on your development machine. 3. Dumping xml file with SSIS is not good enough for storage, scalability and performance reasons. 4. I will use FTP software to download the files to local machine. You will load xml files from one folder, process them, then move the processed file to another folder. 5. Experience on Web services is not required at this time; but it will be helpful if there will be the next step. Thanks everyone and I will check back in one week. |
