Client: Barnetts Motor Group Ltd, Dundee, Scotland Summary: We wish to control fuel spend within our car business. Every day, staff take fuel cards and go to the filling station to put some fuel in a car. Each staff member has a fuel card but we wish to track in more detail who is putting how much in what cars. We believe there is 10% to 15% wastage and with a spend of ?50,000 per year we estimate we can save ?5,000 through much tighter control of this spend. The database needs to be a very simple relational database with lots of good reports and a very simple front end. No User logins are required. Type of database The data will reside on a server with the client on various PC?? which will allow users to enter data from different PC?? around the business or could be hosted on a web site There will be 7 to 10 data tables for such things as: 1) Employee Name 2) Branch 3) Department 4) Fuel Card Number 5) Reason for fuel spend 6) Loyalty Card Number 7) Authorised by Fields 1) Date of Spend 2) Employee Name 3) Branch 4) Department 5) Customer name (if applicable) 6) Registration Number 7) Make 8) Model 9) Reason for fuel spend 10) Fuel Card Number 11) Loyalty Card Number 12) Authorised by 13) Amount Authorised 14) Amount Spent 15) Loyalty Points Added The reporting will need to include: 1) Fuel spend in detail by Department by month 2) Subdivided and totaled by employee 3) Fuel spend by card in detail by month with total points added 4) 5) Summary analysis page |
