| Project Description:
We are looking for an individual or team / company that can create a website that provides the following features and will be able to either provide ongoing maintenance (under a separate paid contact) of the site or recommend a company / organisation able to do so that the creator (you) can liaise with where necessary. We have registered domain names but will also need guidance on hosting servers etc (preference is towards off site services) but all of this can be discussed later or sorted out from alternative information sources. We have minimal knowledge of the technicalities involved but know what we want and are willing to pay (and continue to pay) for the right partnership to get the product right. Website Required: 1. Homepage linking through to total of 16 other ??ain??pages 2. ID search facility also on Homepage 3. 5 of ??ain??pages are ??ormal??pages, ie, FAQ, Contact us, Join, etc The remaining 11 pages are all mainly identical with the following characteristics: Title : Links to 5 other ??ain??pages and Homepage : ID search facility. This is the important bit; if you can?? do this then please don?? bid! These 11 pages will each display a boxed grid of 5000 small boxes, in a grid of 100 boxes across and 50 down which should display to the user on a ??tandard??monitor without having to scroll in any direction. Each box will display a small icon until a picture file is available. Each box will increase in size on ??ouseover??(probably using JavaScript) and would like ideally the gradual resizing effect as seen on www.nsftools.com/tips/ImageResize.htm although if necessary could accept effect seen on www.stockphotos.com . Each box will also be a ??lickable??link that will open up a separate (new) window which will be 2/3rds size of screen (roughly) (initially although the user may resize it using standard resize method) which will be a single webpage similar to a individuals ??rofile??page (as seen on many different sites). A ??emplate-style design will be supplied by us for this ??ini-webpage??but there will be 4 pictures (one of which will be the picture that replaces the icon mentioned above) and the rest of the page will be text in several different text boxes and our company name / logo. There must also be a ??ogin??feature on this page. *Login feature will include username and password and will allow individual to upload or delete pictures (maximum 4 pictures and maximum file size to be set), and alter text in text boxes. This means that there will be 11 main pages each with 5000 small resizing boxes that each link through to a small ??nique webpage??that the user has the ability to provide some content for within a template design. Therefore there must be the capability within the ??roject??to hold a total of 55,000 unique ??ini-webpages??as well as the main pages stated. Administration to the site by us must be possible via a separate login system on the main site and must be simple. On the ??oin??page there will various options for payment to be made via Paypal. We believe that using an API with Paypal it is possible to create the following scenario: ??Someone visits the site and selects a package and choose a username and password ??They pay for the package via Paypal ??Paypal confirms to us automatically that payment is received ??Our system generates an account, adds the contact details they provided and allocates them one box from one of the 11 main pages (they will have selected which main page). ??They will receive an email confirming their login details and payment received and their unique box id and unique mini-webpage address ( Ex??Your Box ID is m3256 and your web address is www.anexample.com/m3256 so please log in now to fill in your webpage!) with a link to allow them to start to populate the fields in their mini-webpage ??They save and continue and as long as one picture has been uploaded then that picture is placed in the box allocated the same Box ID they have on the specific main page they have chosen. We will need the site to retain all user information in a administration area and provide it in a searchable style format (we want it to work but we don?? know the technicalities!) and we need it to be search engine friendly. This is the main brief, there are of course details to be added but the above is quite a specific picture of what we require. We are aware that our requirements are not difficult to implement as the main bulk of the project is a simple replication matter and we therefore expect sensible bids. We would generally expect and be looking at bids with an initial build price (working website with 1 month ??ault finding??period) of between $500 - $2000 excluding webspace, servers etc etc. We realise that?? quite a range and we acknowledge that this has been done as we feel that there are several different approaches to the site that may be more or less time consuming and thus cheaper or more expensive. We are also prepared to sign a further maintenance contract that will provide a ongoing income whilst the project is in our hands and a small equity share of the project should it be sold privately or publicly. We want simple, clean coding that is search engine friendly, and we know that we are basically asking for a total of 17 unique main web pages (although 11 of them are near identical) and then a potential maximum of 55,000 ??in-web pages??that will be in reality a template with user supplied content and a method of Paypal integration for automated processes so please don?? waste your time if you cannot achieve this within the price range quoted. You or the company will have previous experience and examples of past work and we would be looking for an initial build to be completed with 30 days of agreement. |
