We have had a dubli.com style website built by an Indian team who to say the least have been nothing but trouble, they have reneged on their promise of future support in commissioning in the website, and also been abusive in their nature. They have bassically copied the dubli source code and assembled it around their own framework. The outcome has resulted in 6 weeks of cleaning up errors and bugs, to the point we have a functioning website (99%) functioning. The final 1% I now believe is beyond their skills sets. They have tried on numerous occasions to clear about 4 small errors and for a very short amount of time, these errors went away, but they seem to re-occur whenever they want to. So we have now totally lost patience with each other. I will be happy to discuss the small errors with the right candidate. One is a simple padding in the styling on the homepage and the others are the result of badly written function variables. We may also need someone to translate the language file from English to Chinese simplified. So a very good ability to understand english a great advantage WE WANT THIS DONE TODAY IF POSSIBLE Newly added descriptions: Hi. Ok.. I posted this on freelance.com also and i have bids ranging from $30 to $75. This website is populated with programmers bidding, between 5 and 10 times the amount of money.... I know enough about php to know that this is 3 hours work at the most.. if it takes longer, then i would doubt the coder's capabilities.. so to be quoting $300 for a few hours work is almost hilarious. |
