I need someone that is experienced with OCR to design and build a web based application that will do the following: 1) Accept scanned copies (standard formats) of passports from clients in an HTML upload box, these may not be scanned in same way every time i.e. some may be in colour, some may be black and white; some may be in portrait and other in landscape; 2) Using OCR extract the data from the passport, such as: Type; Passport No.; Surname; Given Names; Nationality; Date of Birth; Sex; Place of Birth; Date of Issue (DD/MM/YY) and Expiry Date (DD/MM/YY); 3) Display the data in an HTML form. JAVA would be my preferred language, however if there is a better language I am prepared to listen to the developers advice. |
