Project Description:
We need a formula that will generate a standard schedule based on the forecasted hourly covers, per meal period. No employee can work more that 7.5 hours. Several need to be identified as Part-time, working 4 hours per shift for each category of employee as mentioned above. The problem is related to scheduling and productivity. The Assumption is that one Server (waitperson) can sufficiently serve 10 customers per hour. A Busser 20 customers per hour, A cook 15 per hour and dishwasher 25 customers per hour, Expediter, etc using a Sunday thru Saturday schedule with daily hours from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM with customers coming in at various times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Standard should have the ability to be changed which would automatically reflect in a new schedule. The goal is to create a Standards Based work schedule based on average number of customers to the restaurant per hour using the Standard of X for how many customers one worker can service per hour. Specifically, the requirement is to calculate the standard hours per person for a restaurant meal periods, Breakfast Lunch and Dinner with the assumption the restaurant is open 7 days a week. The data should automatically generate a weekly schedule. I can provide Employee Roster, Estimated Covers Per Hour, a Schedule, the Staffing Chart (which will allow the user to edit the Number of Covers Per Hour. |
