Project Description:
(1) Need an entire prototype web-site designed from scratch. (2) For complexity, think Tumblr or Twitter. For design (visual appearance), think Apple.com. (3) Scaling not necessary - it's a private web-site for up to no more than 2,000 users, mostly students at Stanford, Berkeley, and Yale. (4) Familiarity with visual design / UI mandatory. In terms of specific features: (1) Posting box. It's equivalent to the status update on Facebook; the "Post a link" on Tumblr; and the tweet box on Twitter. (2) Similar to the old Facebook, it'll show your top friends on the side. (3) Basic pages like "Profile" and a log-out button. (4) Integrated log-in. Think Quora - no need to create a separate account. Use Facebook credentials to log in. (5) Users should be able to comment on any post. (6) A newsfeed (think Facebook) that shows what your friends posted. Time constraints: 2 months. Budget: $16/hr. 8hrs/day. Engineers needed: 3. Bonus 1: $1,500/person (~40% of first month's pay) if project is done in one-month. Bonus 2:If work exceeds expectations in terms of quality and is completed in 1-month, qualified candidates will get internal referral to Facebook for potential career considerations. My best friend from college is a high-level software engineer there. I have a visual design in pdf file for qualified candidates, who will be interviewed by a Facebook engineer. |
