Description: Our project requires the development of a php based website that fits the generic category of a “community” website. Background: The whole project will consists of 3 Phases, starting with Phase 1 being the community website where our site will link users who are interested in meeting others to join them in different activities. (Sports, movies, outings, etc.) This will involve a front end web based UI and a backend database. Phase 2 and 3 will be started at a later date. The major features our site needs: Password protected acces - users need to register for free before given access to the site. When registering, users will enter certain fields (user name, password, activities of interest, contact information, etc..) and this will information will be used for other members to track him down as activity parters. Search Function: Individual members should be able to search for other members against a hierarchy of profile entries. Mailbox Function: The system should have a mail system that allows users to contact other users w/o revealing their personal email addresses. The system should provide users with private email notification that they have mail on the system and give them the ability to automatically have the site forward mail from the site to their email address. Message Forum system: We would like the provide the user the capability to enter information on a feedback type forum regarding past activities they had with other members on the site. Advertisement: The site should allow us to take advertisers and give us the ability to add new ads ourselves onto the site. Continued support/maintenance/upgrade: Successful bidder must provide continued support/maintenance to the related site for product defects and possible feature upgrade. we will provide specific url's to existing websites whose operational format similar to those mentioned above we would like to clone. , |
